John Blincow, President of the Gateway Foundation
John Blincow started the Gateway Foundation in 2012 with the purpose of building the first rotating spaceport. In April 2017, Orbital Assembly was formed and later incorporated to become the first space construction company. In October 2017, the EOR (Errant Object Retrieval) program was started to build drones to retrieve lost tools and parts from astronauts working at space construction sites. In May 2018, Orbital Assembly chose the Von Braun Rotating Space Station to become the first commercial space construction project. Before starting the Gateway Foundation, John Blincow worked as an airline pilot for 24 years, flying all over the world in such aircraft as the Boeing 757, DC-10, and Boeing 747-400. John Blincow’s experience as a pilot instructor includes United Airlines, Boeing Flight Safety, and as a security instructor for the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).
