Dr Niklas Palaghias is the CEO & founder of Quadible, a UK technology startup introducing the future of authentication. Niklas is a human behaviour scientist and cyber security expert. He was a PhD Researcher at the Institute for Communication Systems, Home of 5G Innovation Centre at the University of Surrey in understanding human behaviour through mobile devices. He has been involved as a researcher in the 5G next generation mobile communication networks and European Commission projects including SocIoTal and iKaas. He received an MEng degree from Computer Engineering and Informatics Dept. at the University of Patras. He was working as a software engineer for 4 years in telecommunications consultancy at UIT Athens, where he developed highly optimised and scalable components and systems for Greece’s largest telecommunication companies. He has led the development of various end-user (e.g. mobile apps, web apps and websites) and back-end (e.g. server-side, telecoms systems etc.) software products. His research interests are focused on cybersecurity and understanding human behaviour through pervasive and ubiquitous systems including mobile and wearable devices in markets such as Banking, Gambling, Health-care and Defence.
